Role Summary

Assist in managing and controlling the material inventory & availability for the DEL operations at HPC, including stock record accuracy & integrity.

About the role

  • Manage and maintain, stock records. via spreadsheets.

  • Co-ordinate with DEL Stillington to ensure timely deliveries of goods to meet the DEL  & Site Plans.

  • Co-ordinate deliveries with other 3rd party suppliers of none production items, as required.

  • Control material visibility; availability and gap management to support site operational requirements.

  • Expedite deliveries to cover overdue; replacement or any other shortage items.

  • Take ownership of maintaining best practice for stock control.

    ·         Liaise with operations teams and become the go to person for material availability information.

  • Logistical control of outbound & inbound materials.

  • Develop & maintain KPI’s around material availability.

  • Prepare and present reports, and provide visibility & information to allow operations to plan accordingly.

  • Actively pursue improvement opportunities

More about the role

Skills & Experience

  • Experienced Materials/Stock Controller, capable of undertaking the above.

  • Good understanding of MRP principles and how to apply those via spreadsheets.

  • Experience of developing materials control processes from first principles.

  • Project management skills, including the ability to produce and work to timing plans, and plan own time/workload.

  • Ability to work on own merit, as well as part of a team.

  • Strong verbal and written communicator.

IT literate, with good working knowledge of MS Office in particular Microsoft Excel

  • Educated to minimum of GCSE level.
